You are currently viewing Billie Eilish dreams of becoming a mother. "I’d rather die than not have children"

Though Billie Eilish he is only 20 years old, he is already thinking about motherhood. The award-winning artist told about it in an interview for the Sunday Times. As the author of the hit emphasized “Bad Guy”having children is one of her greatest dreams and goals in life.

“I’d rather die than not have children. I need them,” she said flatly. And she added that she often thinks about what her relationship with children would look like. “The older I am, the more I wonder what kind of mother I would be, what will I do if my child does not listen to me” – confessed the star.

Eilish noted that she is aware of the responsibility of parenting. What especially worries her is the real threat of shootings that occur from time to time in American schools. Less than a month ago, an 18-year-old armed with two rifles opened fire on primary school students in the Texas city of Uvalde. He killed 19 children and two adults. “Right now, you are going to school and you have to be prepared for traumatic, life-changing experiences. Where’s the point, where’s the logic?” – the singer wonders.

If Eilish does become a mother, she will likely make every effort to protect the privacy of her children. She herself can hardly bear the fact that the media are still interested in her life. In one of the interviews, she confessed that living in the spotlight made her depressed. After the release of the debut album “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” Eilish, who was only 17 at the time, rose to international star status and became the idol of millions of young listeners.

As she emphasized, the sudden popularity at such a young age was overwhelming and severely damaged her psyche. “At the beginning of my career, I was very depressed. My life was dark, nothing made me happy. That’s why I always tell the fans to take care of themselves” – the star revealed.
