In the role of Goodwill Ambassador of the United Nations for Refugees, the 56-year-old actor first passed through Poland, where he was in support centers for people leaving Ukraine. He met Ukrainian volunteers and families. Then he crossed the border.

This Monday he was in Kiev, the Ukrainian capital and where he met with Volodymyr Zelensky, president of that country. In a two-way conversation, Stiller declared his admiration for the political leader. “It’s a great honor for me [conhecê-lo]. It’s my hero”told Zelenskym adding that “what he did, the way he mobilized the country and the world, is really a source of inspiration”.

After passing through the capital, Ben Stiller visited other locations, more destroyed by the Russian invasion that began on February 24th. On social media, he released a video in which he shares what he is watching during this visit.. “I met people who were affected by the war and heard how it changed their lives. War and violence are destroying people all over the world. Nobody chooses to run away from home. Seeking security is a right. It should be defended to anyone.” appealed.
