“This is shifting responsibility from a sick head to a healthy one. What’s up with Klopp? He was not responsible for security on the way to the stadium. The relevant authorities, including the Minister of the Interior, are responsible for this, ”Koloskov quotes “Sport-Express”.
He also noted that with these words Darmanen signed his helplessness and incompetence.
According to a message on the scoreboard before the match at the Stade de France in Paris, the start of the game was delayed due to the late arrival of fans. However, later it became known that some fans were able to enter the stadium bypassing security and law enforcement agencies had to close the passages. The police also fired tear gas at the fans.
Seven Paris police officers were injured before the Champions League final after a fight with fans.
French Sports Minister Amélie Oudéa-Castera also blamed the English club for the unrest.
Earlier, Darmanen accused Liverpool boss Jürgen Klop of the unrest ahead of the Champions League final against Real Madrid.
