TikTok has just announced on its personal blog the inclusion of new forms of monetization for its content creators, and they have not thought of another copy the monthly subscription system used by Twitchone of the leading companies in this.
And it is that TikTok offers the possibility of direct, and their search to increase the options that it offers have decided to integrate the option to Give those people who subscribe to content creators some advantages.
For those who are not aware, Twitch offers the possibility of subscribing on a monthly basis to the content creators of its platform, providing certain advantages that the content creators themselves can choose.
Among them are personalized emotes, subscription indicators, access to the subscribers-only chat, access to raffles and/or prizes organized by the content creator or also the fact of being able to watch past live shows (this already depends on each creator).
TikTok comments that they have added this subscription with 3 of those features that Twitch offers, being these: subscriber badges, custom emotes, and subscriber-only chat access.
With this, if we are subscribed to a content creator, when he himself makes a direct, our username will appear next to an icon that will show others that we are subscribers of it.
Custom emotes will allow us to react in live chat with emotes created and integrated by the content creators themselves, making their chats different from the rest.
As for the subscribers-only chat, this It will allow us, if it is activated by the content creator himself, exclusive access to the chatwhere only those who are subscribers will be able to write.
With these advantages, which will increase or improve in the future, TikTok seeks to attract the attention of more content creators and try to enhance one of its less used features such as direct.
Among the requirements to be able to access this function as a content creator, TikTok asks that the owner of the account be at least 18 years old, as well as a minimum of 1,000 followers in his account.
Regarding restrictions for users, only those users over 18 may make use of the subscriptions, and where they also prohibit asking content creators and users to request or offer incentives for the same subscriptions.
It is not yet known if these subscriptions will have a fixed price as they already do on Twitch, or the price will be subject to the choice of the content creator, just as they have not shared what percentage of each subscription will go to their platform.
