The regional police try to determine if they were forced to travel there or if they were convinced of it
The Mossos d’Esquadra have summoned to testify relatives of the two pakistani sisters residents in Terrassa (Barcelona) murdered in their country of origin to determine their degree of collaboration in their journey.
Sources close to the case have explained to Europa Press on Tuesday that the Catalan police are investigating the events and have detailed their interest in determine if they were forced to travel there or if they were convinced to do so.
Allegedly the women’s in-laws, residents of Pakistan, they were murdered for demanding a divorce after a forced marriage a year agoand the Punjab Police have arrested six people for these events, as reported by the police force in a tweet collected by Europa Press.
As explained by the Pakistani newspaper Dawnthe in-laws suspected that they had allegedly intentionally delayed the processing of their husbands’ visas for them to travel to Spain, and that they were killed for not wanting to take them with them.
Also, according to the same newspaper, the families brought the sisters back to Pakistan a few days ago, and they were found tortured and dead in their home on Friday.
