Whitney Henriquezyounger sister of Amber Heardtestified at the trial opposing his sister to Johnny Depp. This is a lawsuit taking place in Fairfax, Virginia for a lawsuit brought by the actor against his ex-wife for defamation.
On the witness stand, Whitney claimed that her sister lived in a controlling and abusive marriage to Johnny Depp. She says that she witnessed many situations of violence, since for a period she lived in one of the houses that she used to belong to the actor. “It was good to be with him at the beginning”, recalls, adding: “Honestly, we all fell in love with him. at the beginning”.
He reports that he used drugs with Depp on more than one occasion and assures him that he was upset when he did so. Asked about an incident that occurred in March 2015, Whitney says that Depp assaulted her, that Amber ran to defend her and that she ended up being assaulted too.
“I was at the top of the stairs, with my back to the stairs, and Johnny ran up them. I was looking at Amber, he appears behind me, hits me on the back. I hear Amber say ‘Don’t hit my sister! She hits him once. Security runs up the stairs. At that moment, Johnny grabs her by the hair with one hand and hits her several times in the face with the other.”
After that, Whitney says she was given a confidentiality agreement to sign so she wouldn’t talk about what she saw. “The deal was on the kitchen table. I figured it was to keep things private. To keep me silent. I was asked to sign. I can’t believe he did.”
It is recalled that, even in this trial, two other witnesses shared different accounts of the same incident. Travis McGivern, the security guard present and mentioned by the actress’s sister, assured that what happened was “a relatively peaceful conversation” how fast “increased tone”. He claims that Heard started by throwing a can of soda at Depp, which led the security guard to protect the actor. He says that the two actors exchanged more heated words and that the actress ended up hitting her ex-husband in the face. “At that moment I could not allow Mr. Depp was attacked more and I took him out of there.”
