ONPE: Choose your polling place for the 2022 regional and municipal elections

According to the State web portal, within the three venues that it chooses as possible, it will finally be the ONPE that determines the voting center that it must attend, taking into account the priorities for which it chose. It should be noted that the different media in which you can carry out the procedure have different ways of verifying the authenticity of the user. The mobile web version and the Telegram chatbot have the option to use the facial recognition through the phone’s camera, while the desktop web version will be checked thanks to key questions.


  • Enter the platform ‘Choose your polling place’ electyourlocal.onpe.gob.pe or doing CLICK HERE. There you must place your ID number, verification digit and your date of birth.
  • Once the information is placed, you must read and accept the Terms and Conditions of Use. The next thing will be to choose between verifying your identity via Facial Recognition or Personal Questions.
  • After verifying its authenticity, you must enter an email, in which you will receive a message to confirm the data. In addition, you will have to enter your cell phone number and select if you have any capacity.
  • The email will receive a message where you must press the Confirm email address button, and then give way to the Choose your polling place button. There you must choose three places and save the information.
  • After that, you will receive a new email message confirming the three addresses that have been marked as preferred by the user.
