Today, the legendary singer, composer, producer and People’s Artist of the RSFSR Renat Ibragimov has died. He died in Moscow at the age of 74 – the musician’s daughter told reporters the sad news. She did not name the reasons for the sudden departure of her father.

Ibragimov was called the “Soviet Pavarotti”, “Tatar nightingale” and one of the first sex symbols of the Soviet stage. The musician was born on November 20, 1947 in Lviv in the family of a military man. Soon the family moved to the homeland of their ancestors, to Kazan. Before entering the stage, Ibragimov, a graduate of the Kazan State Conservatory, served for 16 years as a soloist of the Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet Theater named after Musa Jalil, performing classical opera parts.

In the mid-80s, rumors about a talented nugget from Tatarstan reached Moscow, he was invited to the V All-Union Variety Artists Competition, where Renat won first place. Then there were many more competitions, and soon the colorful artist began to appear frequently on blue screens. In 2017, the singer celebrated his 70th birthday. On this occasion, a big concert was held in the Kremlin, staged based on Ibragimov’s autobiography “Across the Sea of ​​Life”.

The musician was a father of many children, with his last wife, who is 40 years younger, they raised five children, the youngest of whom was born in 2018.
