Personal defense campaign begins in the "Never more, not one less" program in Monclova

As a measure of prevention and protection for Monclovense women, the municipal presidency of Monclovalaunched the pilot program “Never again, not one less”, it is a workshop on psychological preparation and self-defense, aimed at women from Monclova.

Participating in this project are the Municipal Youth Institute, the Public Security, and Youth and Sports councils, and the Directorate of Public Securityand aim to guide students to learn to detect potential aggressors, and how to react to a risk situation.

Three instructors participated in yesterday’s conference, one of them Samantha Alejandra Rodriguez Castilleja, who has a degree in criminology, who spoke about sexual harassment and in addition to showing educational videos, where the students will be able to identify potential aggressors and how to deal with the situation.

For this event, more than 300 students from different educational institutions were summoned, among them; The UPMF, UANE, CEUC and the INSUNTEall of them were attentive to the information that was prepared for the psychological and physical preparation of the students.

The presidium was made up of: Valentina Aranda Valadez, Councilor for Youth and Sports; Esra Cavazos, rector of the Monclova Frontera Polytechnic University, Carlos Herrera, councilor for Public Security, Raúl Alcocer, director of Public Security, Raúl Alcocer and Cesar Menchaca, director of the Municipal Youth Institute.
