TBILISI, May 14 – Sputnik. Another part of Ketevan Tsamebuli Avenue in the central district of Tbilisi will be closed from May 14 as part of repair work, the press service of the mayor’s office of the capital reports. According to the City Hall, from Saturday Ketevan Tsamebuli Avenue will be closed from the Avlabari metro station to the intersection with Tsinandali Street. In this regard, the route of public transport traveling from the center to the Isani and Samgori districts and back is also changing. Now public transport will not reach the 300 Aragvin metro station, but will go down Lech Kachinsky Street towards the embankment. The renovation of Ketevan Tsamebuli Avenue began in January 2022 and will last three years. The first phase of work is currently underway. As part of the repair, the road surface on the avenue will be completely replaced, new lighting and drain systems will be installed, and sidewalks will be repaired. The work is carried out by the “Din Group” company, and it will cost 5.6 million lari.
