Cuen is wrong. Remaining an ally of Morena will further damage the Sinaloense Party. With the dismissal of its leader and founder, Melesio Cuen, as Secretary of Health, the PAS will have to operate alone from now on. Cuen is wrong again by announcing that his strategy will be in Mexico City. He mentions that there are agreements signed with the national leader of Morena, Mario Delgado, in what was the political alliance last year and the positions that would correspond to the PAS when the Morenoites win.
Cuen sins naive again. If he believes that Delgado will go against Governor Rubén Rocha Moya, he is dead wrong. If he thinks that someone else from Morena’s CEN will come out in support of him, he’s wrong. The Sinaloense Party and its leader, Melesio Cuen, have already been condemned by Rocha Moya and by Morena. So? If Cuen, through political strategy, continues breaking stones in Morena, he will have to see that the damage is greater than the benefit that can be achieved. Yesterday at the press conference offered by Cuen, he was perceived as lukewarm in his statements. Or was he out of fear? Or was it political prudence? We do not know.
But to argue that Rocha Moya already knew about the complaints that existed since the campaign, one against fellow journalist Luis Enrique Ramírez (which he claims was withdrawn), and the other against Tere Guerra, collaborating columnist and current head of the Secretariat for Women. And that he even discussed the subject with Rocha Moya and that he also asked her for support so that he and Guerra could sit down together, the only effect it has is that the circumstance was used by the governor to get rid of his secretary once and for all of health. The lukewarm positioning of Cuen the only thing he could look for is to make his departure from Morena smoother. And that sincerely affects him and the PAS politically. And, if not, at the time.
What will the military think? That the president is not outraged by the way in which military elements are treated by criminals. It’s not new. But that since morning he declared yesterday that gang members should be taken care of, “because they are human beings”, he outrages any citizen. The president does not seem to realize that criminals murder, harass, extort and intimidate peaceful citizens. And they don’t get punished. The criminal gangs do not respect the Army, the Navy and the National Guard because they have been instructed not to bother the criminals. The Army and the Navy, institutions of the most beloved and respected by Mexicans, today have to put up with what they are being forced to do.
Contradictions. The Undersecretary of Security in the country, Ricardo Mejía, assured that the actors of the crime of fellow journalist Luis Enrique Ramírez had already been identified. The prosecutor in Sinaloa, Sara Bruna, clarified that possible results should not be anticipated. Mejía advanced that “with the indications that there are, there is no element that makes us presume that this homicide is linked to his journalistic activity.” Attentive to what the Government is trying to sow. He already did it with the two murdered journalists in Veracruz.
