MEXICO CITY.- Some 200,000 BBVA accounts would have a negative balance after that the bank will begin to collect the balances that by mistake appeared in favor of customers on May 9.
According to information from BBVA, the average negative balance is 700 pesos, with which customers will be given up to 3 months to catch up on that balance, without penalty or delay, in case they have used the money.
Given the effects on users, BBVA seeks to compensate its customers and this Friday it has informed them that the bank will make “free support” available to the client and if they do not require it, they have also offered to invite them for a coffee.
“A few days ago we charged those purchases, which may have caused your account to have a negative balance. In order to help you, we will make support available to you at no cost to you. If you don’t need it, let us at least buy you a coffee”, said BBVA.

It should be remembered that on May 9 users of BBVA Mexico reported alleged balances in their accounts, a situation that the bank clarified as a human error that caused dispositions for previous operations to be incorrectly registered and appear again in the balances of the clients.
The wave of memes for deposits by mistake they flooded social networks, that caught the attention of official accounts of the bank from where they confirmed what they called “human error”.
