WATCH: Kamp Waes participant completes 8th triathlon in 8 days on 8th Canary Island

A full triathlon that is: swim 3.8 km, bike 180 km and run 42.195 km or a marathon.

Matthieu Bonne has already completed 7, today he completes his 8th and last triathlon.

He always does this on a Canary Island. Last Thursday he started on La Palma, today he puts an end to it on the small La Graciosa, just above Lanzarote.

A challenge, because there are no asphalt roads on the island. Bonne will cover the 180 km on a mountain bike.

By the time he runs his 8th marathon, he will have swum a total of 30.4 km, cycled 1,440 km and run 337.6 km.

Matthieu Bonne is not ready for his test piece. After participating in the heavy TV program Kamp Waes, he completed a cycling tour of 1,225 kilometers in Belgium. Then he swam our entire shoreline.

His latest stunt comes from his coach and former Ironman champion Luc Van Lierde. A Spanish athlete had already tried unsuccessfully twice to run 7 triathlons in 7 days on 7 islands.
