Some 7.5 million informal workers, monotributistas of categories A and B and workers in private homes will begin to receive next week the $18,000 Income Reinforcement, to be paid in two installments of $9,000, as a mechanism to protect and improve income of those who are in a situation of greater vulnerability, reported this afternoon at the Palacio de Hacienda.

They thus join the 6.1 million retired men and women who are already receiving the bonus of up to $12,000 in a single installment, along with their salaries, so that, in total, 13.6 million people will receive the Income Reinforcement between May and June and that their income will be supplemented by this policy.

The measure contemplates a social investment of some $206,000 million and adds to the policies previously implemented to assist the most vulnerable sectors, such as the 50% increase in the Food Card, the increase in allocations, advance of the parity and a bonus of $6,000 for retirees, retirees and pensioners in the month of April, reported the Ministry of Economy.

As explained by the portfolio led by Martín Guzmán, this policy is framed “in the context of the acceleration of the inflationary process that affects the world in general, and Argentina in particular, with a greater increase in food and energy as a result of the war between Russia and Ukraine”.

Registration for the Income Reinforcement channeled via Anses ended last Saturday, with the receipt of registration requests from 11.8 million people, of which 1.6 million were automatically rejected for being formal workers, having retirement and/or or pension, not reaching the age, etc.

“In addition, another 2.7 million applications were denied after carrying out the corresponding socioeconomic and patrimonial controls (consumer expenses, income, patrimonial controls, health coverage, etc.),” explained Economy.

Income reinforcement is granted to workers with unregistered income, monotributists A and B and employees of private homes for an amount of $18,000, in two installments to be paid in May and June, and another of $12,000 for those who receive up to two minimum pensions in May, in a single installment.
