Otto Waalkes in mourning. It must have been a difficult moment for the man you usually know with a smile. Entertainer Hans Herbert Böhrs passed away this week at the age of 82. Böhrs, who became known as the founding father of the “Hamburg scene”, was a close friend of the comedian Otto Waalkes.

But not only Otto Waalkes, other show greats are also deeply sad. “Oh man, he was such a good guy. Always helpful, always positive and encouraging. We keep him in grateful memory,” writes children’s song star Rolf Zuckowski, for example. Malle singer Lorenz Büffel sends a black heart as a sign of mourning. And entertainer Julian FM Stoeckel adds: “My sincere condolences, dear Otto.”
Hans Herbert Böhrs became known to a large audience in the ARD sketch series “Bananas”. He also organized one of the largest carnival parties in Germany.
