Yuri Dud released a great interview with Oleg Tinkov. After the outbreak of the war, the businessman several times (very) emotionally spoke out against the Russian invasion of Ukraine, after which, according to the businessman, he was forced to sell his business in Russia. As a result, Tinkov left the country. In an interview with Dud, he spoke about living with leukemia, his friendship with Dmitry Peskov, and the fact that most of the largest Russian businessmen support his anti-war position (but are afraid to openly state this). He also explained why he did not criticize the government before the war.
How Oleg Tinkov lost his business in Russia
- “I can’t make money in a country that kills civilians and children” Oleg Tinkov again spoke out against the war. And said goodbye to Russia, quoting “Woe from Wit”
- Interros announced the purchase of a stake in Tinkoff from the family of Oleg Tinkov
- Oleg Tinkov said that the Russian authorities forced him to sell his stake in TCS Group “for a penny” after he opposed the war
