Amber Heard and Johnny Depp are facing each other in a media trial taking place in the US county of Fairfax, Virginia. The actor sued his ex-wife for defamation over an article published in The Washington Post, in 2018, in which she confessed to having been a victim of domestic violence, despite never having mentioned, throughout the text, the name of Johnny Depp. Both parties are making statements that have caused a lot of ink to flow in the press and the matter has been much debated in the media and among internet users.
This week, however, there are no trial sessions. Usually these have taken place between Mondays and Thursdays, but this time the process is stopped. The reason? The fact that the judge Penny Azcarate be participating in conferences that I had already scheduled between the 9th and 12th of May.
Therefore, Depp and Heard only faced each other again in court next Monday, the 16th, for the continuation of this process that is expected to be concluded on the 27th of this month.
