“It is important to give a sense of the foundation, to build a system. Start at least with the organization of life, so that it is easier to cope with the problems that have piled up. The psychologist of the Ministry of Emergency Situations should help to cope with acute reactions to a traumatic event. A separate category is people who cannot cope with their condition, to be alone. We patiently work with them, ”said Babkina in an interview with “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”.

Among the psychological problems most often faced by refugees are anxiety and fear for the future, for the lives of relatives and children, the specialist noted.

Psychologists are trying to help people gain a sense of security, an understanding that nothing threatens their lives, that they are currently provided with everything they need. This adds a sense of stability to internally displaced persons, Babkina said.

Previously “PolitExpert” reported that a batch of humanitarian aid for refugees from Donbass had been assembled in the Sverdlovsk region.
