The Palestinian ambassador to our country, Imad Nabil Jadaa, described as “an organized crime directed by the government of Israel” the death of the journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, of the Arab network Al Jazeera, which occurred in the city of Jenin in the West Bank.

Along with expressing his pain at the professional’s death, the ambassador stated that the journalist was shot in the head more than 70 meters away in a place where no Palestinian combatant was present.

“It is a determined and determined crime. It is no coincidence, not how the Zionist Prime Minister came out accusing Palestinian fire. There were no Palestinian fighters at the time, according to national and international witnesses. So we can qualify this incident as an organized crime directed by the government of Israel, which is trying to silence those who are trying to make the world aware of what is happening to the Palestinian people,” the diplomat said.

The ambassador stated that Shireen Abu Akleh was a journalist who spent 27 years of her life covering the rights of her people and all just causes in the world. She “she was killed this morning. She was killed by the Zionist occupation soldiers with a direct bullet to her head. She was a 51-year-old journalist who was born in Jerusalem and grew up under the umbrella of the occupation, suffering humiliation, genocide and occupation every day for her people. She tried, as a journalist, to reflect the true image of the occupation”, the ambassador stated.

Imad Nabil Jadaa thanked Chileans, Parliament and hundreds of people who have expressed their condolences for this murder through social networks.

Along the same lines, the Palestinian Authority affirmed that it was a “scandalous crime” and an “execution” and as part of the Israeli effort to hide the truth of the occupation of the West Bank.

The crime of the professional who covered the occupied fields of Jenin caused international commotion and in our country, the Palestinian Community of Chile expressed its condemnation for the events

“As a Palestinian Community, we strongly condemn this repulsive crime and violation against the freedom of the Palestinian and international press, represented in the cold-blooded murder of this prominent American-Palestinian journalist, who died in the line of duty by informing the world of the horrors that the Palestinians are experiencing. Palestinian people under Israeli occupation,” the statement said.
