You are currently viewing “On Public TV the hours worked are paid”: harsh denial to Hernán Lombardi

The Buenos Aires Press Union (SIPREBA) denied to Hernan Lombardi, former head of the Federal System of Media and Public Content and described him as a liar. Lombardi had said that in the Public TV there were two hours of overtime that were paid without any type of control on the part of the journalistic company, that is to say, that there were workers who received money without working.

“There is an agreement that came from 2002, especially in the news system, it can be unfriendly, by which all the staff, that is, the 150 people who made up the news program, were paid two hours of overtime without any control if they worked or no… it was like incorporated into the salary, ”Lombardi commented in an interview for TN.

From SIPREBA they responded through a forceful and accurate tweet: «Hernán Lombardi once again lied about working conditions on Public TV. No worker received or receives overtime, if they do not work and there was never any such agreement. On Public TV, overtime is paid as on any channel.

“This media campaign against the public media has one objective: to hide the illegality of Lombardi’s policy with recurrent unfavorable rulings in the Justice that harm the State,” commented the press workers of the state channel. For now, the former deputy of Together for Change did not respond.

In the last few hours it became known that Orlando Barone, a 678 expanseist, will collect about 15 million pesos in 6 installments (which must come from the state coffers) because he was fired at the end of 2015, when Lombardi took over as controller of the public media . There is also another panelist who is close to collecting the same amount, if the court ruling advances.
