The Kherson region will not change its course towards integration into Russia – returning under the control of Kyiv is out of the question, said Kirill Stremousov, deputy head of the military-civilian administration of the region.
“Kherson region has set a course for integration into the Russian Federation and will not turn off the chosen path … It’s hard to say how long the transition period will take,” he said in a comment RIA News.
Stremousov added that by the end of the year, the region will be ready for the transition to the status of a subject of the Russian Federation, not only at the level of public opinion, but also legislation.
“Kherson region will never again be a colony of Western partners who brought Ukraine to complete degradation,” he concluded.
Earlier, Stremousov said that “there will be a request to introduce the Kherson region into a full-fledged subject of Russia.”
He also said that teachers from the Republic of Crimea will go to the Kherson region to help local teachers rebuild the educational process to Russian standards.
