With the typical “Let the Eurovision Song Contest begin!” The 66th edition of the great musical and television show has started. This year, after Maneskin’s victory in 2021, Italy’s public broadcaster has been in charge of organizing the song festival from Turin. However, the spectators have not been happy with some other aspect, at least, of the first semifinalheld this Tuesday, May 10.
The setbacks began the same day that the Pala Alpitour opened its doors to host the first rehearsals. A malfunction in the mechanism of the main element of the stage, a kinetic sun, It has already forced most of the delegations to change their staging plansespecially those who based their performances on this arc.
This mishap had as a direct consequence the modification of the realizations of each proposal, in order that the great structure of lights stood out as little as possible. The RAI seems not to have achieved it completely. The specialized press was able to see it this week when it agreed to the first tests and, tonight and through social networks, the audience has confirmed it.
Not a few have been “disappointed” with a state chain that broadcasts the famous Sanremo Festival every year, perhaps with higher quality and better visual results, or due to the fact that some very competitive ‘shows’, such as Denmark or Albania, have been tarnished by this issue. Other users couldn’t help but compare the camera game to last year’s, when the contest took place in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
What a step backwards this year has been taken in terms of realization #Eurovision

The making this year in Italy is very seedy sausage. It could pass for an early 2000s festival. #EurovisionRTVE

Please realization, nothing happens, let’s learn from today’s mistakes and on Saturday to do it well and full. Those plans that make you dizzy and don’t let you appreciate the performance well NO.#Eurovision #eurovisionRTVE

Deluded us for believing that Italy, the country of San Remo, was going to have a good performance and was going to put on a good show 😅 #EurovisionRTVE #Eurovision2022 #ESC2022

Song enhanced live that of #DEN (great beginning at the piano). Pity about the poorly tuned realization. I wouldn’t mind his pass. #Eurovision#EurovisionRTVE

The comparison with last year is devastating. This year everything is more seedy, cheap, dandruff, with bad lighting, bad sound, worse scenery and a disastrous performance. Please let Italy not organize next year #Eurovision#EurovisionRTVE #EuroSemi1 pic.twitter.com/dbM30jo0uY

I can’t with the arc screwing up all the visuals behind it, really. It looks like a parody. #Eurovision

Of course, in this first Eurovision semi-final, some states have been spared negative feedback for this reason. Without a doubt, the performance of Greece has convinced most viewers. “Sublime Greece. Sublime. It is the first time in this semifinal that I see Eurovision in a staging and production,” said one tweeter about Amanda Tenjford and her ‘Die Together’, while another applauded “the beauty” of the candidacy Greek.
Greece has taken away something more important than the #Eurosemi1 :
THE REALIZATION.#EUROVISION #GRE
