Premier League
Manchester United must empty the chalice to the bottom this season. It was now completely eaten by Brighton & Hove Albion: 4-0. Leandro Trossard did more than his share with two assists and a goal.
Manchester United are dragging their way to the end of the season and Brighton & Hove Albion have made that season end even more painful. Moises Caicedo (ex-Beerschot) had put Brighton ahead before half time with a slider.
After the break, Leandro Trossard took control. The Red Devil offered Marc Cucurella the 2-0. For Cucurella, like Caicedo, it was his first goal on English soil.
Trossard wasn’t ready yet, because he first put Pascal Gross on his way to the 3-0 before he was lucky to put his own name on the scoreboard: 4-0. Trossard has now scored in his 3 seasons at Brighton against Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United. A nice statistic.
The season cannot end soon enough for Manchester United players. After the fifth loss in a row, United is only left with a move to Crystal Palace. Erik ten Hag has once again received confirmation that there is work to be done.
