Norwegian skier Iversen responded to criticism from Stepanova with the phrase “she is much worse than me”

Four-time world champion Norwegian Emil Iversen responded to criticism from Russian skier Veronika Stepanova. His words are quoted by Nettavisen.

The athlete with the phrase “she is much worse than me” appreciated the image of the Russian woman in the press. The Norwegian stressed that he did not want to respond to Stepanova’s statements, since he does not communicate with her and is not even subscribed to his opponent on social networks. He added that he sees the statements of the Russian woman only in the Norwegian media.

On April 26, during the presentation of state awards in the Catherine’s Hall of the Kremlin, Stepanova called Russia strong and successful. In her opinion, other countries do not like this state of affairs. She considered that Iversen, who spoke about Russian politics, should not be concerned with the internal affairs of other states.

Stepanova, as part of the Russian national team, won gold at the Beijing Olympics in the relay. She went down in history as the youngest Olympic champion in cross-country skiing. She managed to win the award at the age of 21 years and 39 days.
