Maria Butina, a member of the State Duma commission to investigate the facts of interference of foreign states in the internal affairs of Russia, said that, according to the new bill, foreign agents will not be able to use markings about their status in personal publications and materials not related to their activity as a foreign agent.
“The bill, which is now being prepared for submission to the State Duma, provides for the mandatory labeling of only those materials of a foreign agent that it produces and (or) distributes in connection with the activities of a foreign agent. This applies to the distribution of materials in the media, as well as via the Internet, ”Butina quotes Telegram channel commissions.
Earlier, Deputy Minister of Justice Oleg Sviridenko said that the Russian Ministry of Justice proposes to exclude the marking of foreign agents in social networks, and leave it only for professional activities.
