On the day of this Friday, through an abbreviated trial of the Flagrancia system, a repeat offender was sentenced to 1 year and 4 months in prison for effective compliance, after assaulting a woman along with another subject in Rawson.
The incident occurred last Wednesday around 4:30 p.m. A woman was riding her bicycle on Calle Superiora towards the East and, meters before reaching the South Connector, two subjects approached her from behind, grabbed her shoulder and threw her to the ground, hitting her left arm in the fall.
While she was lying down, one of the subjects grabbed her backpack that she was carrying in the front basket of her bicycle and the victim began to ask for help, so the policemen who were inside the Rawson community base came out (it is in front of to the scene) and chased the thieves.
One of them, with the backpack in his possession, was apprehended, while the other subject managed to escape. According to reports, since the apprehended resident of the area, they began to throw stones and relatives gathered, so the procedure was transferred to the headquarters of the 6th Police Station for the protection of police personnel.
