Fedor Emelianenko spoke about the conflict with former UFC fighter Anderson at the Bellator tournament

Russian mixed martial artist (MMA) Fedor Emelianenko spoke about the conflict with the American Corey Anderson at the Bellator tournament. It is reported by Championship.com.

The 45-year-old Russian commented on what happened after the fight of his ward Vadim Nemkov against Anderson. Their fight was declared a no contest due to a headbutt. Emelianenko stressed that there was no full-fledged communication between him and the American.

“Anderson expressed dissatisfaction with the announced result, and I gestured to him that there was a forbidden blow on his part,” Emelianenko recalled. He added that after the remark, Anderson, known for his performances in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), shook hands with Nemkov.

On April 19, Anderson stated that he dominated the fight and considered himself the winner, despite the official result of the fight. He criticized Emelianenko for his behavior in the cage. According to the former UFC fighter, the heavyweight did not want to admit the failure of his ward.

The duel between Nemkov and Anderson took place as part of the finals of the Bellator Grand Prix in the light heavyweight division. Due to the fact that the fight was declared invalid, the Russian retained the title of champion of the organization.
