Dinant was shopping with his parents at the Albert Heijn when he was attacked out of nowhere by J. at the entrance with a knife. The teen was hit in the chest and back. He died on the spot. The first police investigation shows that J. and the victim did not know each other. The Public Prosecution Service assumes murder. The suspect is in custody.
The murder at the supermarket has been fully captured on film, including what preceded it. At first, J. denied being the man who could be seen in the images, but he later admitted it. He claims he was in psychosis.
Beer, grill sausage, salmon and oranges
J. should have been on trial in court a week after the murder for a series of vandalism and thefts in the spring. He has destroyed cars and smashed windows.
He also stole a lot of food from Albert Heijn and Kruidvat: beer, grilled sausage, salmon, oranges, perfume and a USB charger. In addition, J. would not have complied with an entry ban for two Albert Heijn branches and the clothing store Primark.
