Tecsoled is one of the more than 50 companies that have obtained the Informa-elEconomista Certificate for Excellent Management.
They are a Galician company that is experts in lighting based on LED technology. Its CEO, Mario Martínez, answers our questions:
What does your company do?
We are a lighting products and services company based on LED technology that bases its growth on quality, service, innovation and commitment. Values with a great human weight that perfectly complement the high technological level necessary in the development of our activity.
What have they done to survive the crisis caused by the pandemic?
What has allowed us to survive this crisis is not so much what we have done now but what we have done before. Five years ago we had developed a growth plan that has allowed us to have muscle now, but if we stick only to actions in the midst of a crisis, we have approached this crisis from different angles, although we could summarize it as anticipating, acting quickly and being flexible. .
The recent expansion of our warehouses and a successful product policy have allowed us to mitigate the shortage of supplies. Regarding the human team, strict protocols have been established that have guaranteed the health of our workers, but we have also implemented a shift system so that productivity is not affected.
All this has caught us in the middle of the jump to the international market, so we had to cancel most of our plans (fairs, trade routes, presentations, etc.), this has made us redouble our efforts in the Marketing area.
What motivated them to apply for the certificate? How demanding has this process been?
We could say that we do things well, but it would not be worth it if we say so, for our own growth and for the client, it is much more objective that an external company study all your processes and certify that we do things properly or help you to identify room for improvement.
What does it mean for you to have received the certificate?
It represents a reaffirmation of the processes and policies that we are carrying out, but it also represents satisfaction for each of the people who make up Tecsoled, because all this is possible thanks to teamwork.
