Thus, of the children who have arrived in the community, 140 have already attended school, 75 of them the province of Malagawhere it is concentrated most of the ukrainian population resident in the community.

The Andalusian spokesman counselor has highlighted the importance of the schooling of these minors so that they do not have a “radical change of life” after the disorder that already means that they have had to leave their country because of a war.

Plan ‘Andalusia with Ukraine’

Bendodo recalled that the Governing Council gave the green light at its meeting yesterday, Tuesday, to ‘Andalusia with Ukraine’ plan, «a global plan» that has a Coordination Committee formed «by half of the ministries» of the Andalusian Government -specifically, those of the Presidency, Public Administration and Interior; Health and Families; Education and Sport; Equality, Social Policies and Conciliation, and Employment, Training and Self-Employment-, and which will be expandable depending on the needs that arise in the coming weeks.

In short, as he has pointed out, this plan entails immediate attention in health, education and social services to ukrainian refugees.

Likewise, the spokesperson for the Board has indicated that, together with the Andalusian Executive, numerous groups and citizens are showing that Andalusia is one solidarity land before the arrival of Ukrainian refugees.

During his speech, the counselor pointed out that we are living in very complicated and convulsive times and that governments “must be measured by their management” precisely in these circumstances, to later emphasize that this legislature has not been, by any means, “a bed of roses for the government of change».

“Circumstances and events have not made it easy for us,” stressed the director, who, in addition to referring to the coronavirus pandemichas indicated that one of the great problems that we are experiencing today in Spain is the exponential rise in pricesand it is being perceived that people “can’t take it anymore” and Spanish society “is getting poorer by the minute”.
