The next edition of Paris-Roubaix will have an almost unchanged route of 257.2 kilometers, including 54.8 kilometers of cobblestone sections. The organizers announced this today.
Fun fact: three of the thirty cobblestone sections on the program will reappear later in the Tour de France during the fifth stage.
After the green light from the organizers of the Amstel Gold Race, who have agreed to place a week earlier on the cycling calendar, the date of Paris-Roubaix has been moved by a week.
In order not to coincide with the first round of the French presidential elections, “The Hell of the North” will be held on Sunday 17 April.
The day before (April 16), the women will fight for the mythical cobblestone trophy of Paris-Roubaix. A 124.7 km course with 29.2 km of cobblestones has been designed for the second edition for the women.
