The broadcast of the program “The best bakery in France” resumed a few weeks ago on M6. But what viewers see on screen was filmed last May, throughout France! In the middle of filming the program, the famous cook Norbert Tarayre was the victim of a terrible accident which earned him absence for several entire episodes.
In the columns of Télé-Loisirs, the father of the family returns once again to this traumatic episode. “I had a pneumothorax. The tongue of the lung ran off, 6 centimeters came off. It’s as if you felt something move in your body. I thought it was a cardiac arrest “has explained the cook who nevertheless believed that he was going to die. “I played it the American way, saying goodbye to my children. I gave the codes for the credit cards and the passwords to my partner Abi. She started crying because she didn’t care about my money” he said with more hindsight, several months after the incident.
Transported to the hospital where he had to undergo a rather urgent operation, the chief, against all expectations, expressed his refusal. “I was told that they were going to make a hole in my ribs. I told the doctor that if they touched my body, I would kill it. So they did not make a hole in my ribs. I stayed slammed for three weeks and the lung was glued back together” he explained last January.
And if today we learn the seriousness of his state of health, at the time, the chef had rather bet on the comfort with his subscribers on Instagram: “Hi friends, that’s when the machine gets carried away… Result : a ‘pneumothorax’. Nothing vital but I’m going to do a pit stop for 3 weeks and normally, I’ll be on my feet… In any case, I’m going to be pampered by my lover. Take care of yourself, I kiss you” he had launched rather serenely.
