The emergency braking that followed caused two passengers aged 42 and 58 to fall and injure themselves.

Emergency braking had to be initiated the day before

Already on Friday afternoon at around 2.20 p.m. there was an emergency stop with an injured woman (52) in a tram in Duisburg.

The tram was traveling on Duisburger Straße when a black car with Wiesbaden license plates suddenly turned at the junction with the Willy-Brandt-Ring and gave the tram the right of way. This forced the train driver to initiate emergency braking. A passenger fell and injured herself.

The police are now looking for witnesses who can provide information about the man in the BMW and the fugitive passenger who jumped off the tram. The traffic commissariats accept information on 0203/2800. (fb)
