And it’s already here The first trailer for ‘Ms. Marvel’, the long-awaited new teenage superheroine coming from the MCU. Disney + has announced that we will be able to see the adventures of the young woman from next June 8.
Based on the character by Sana Amanat and G. Willow Wilson, Iman Vellani stars as Kamala Khan, a young Pakistani-American from New Jersey who idolizes Captain Marvel. Suddenly (in the comic she is enveloped by earth mists), she will acquire superpowers. Thus, her superheroic life will be one more element in her balance between her roots and her life as a young student.
A playful trailer for one of Marvel’s best “recent” characters
Along with Vellani, the cast has Saagar Shaykh like his brother Aamir, Mohan Kapur and Zenobia Shroff as his parents Muneeba and Yusuf, Matt Lintz as his best friend Bruno and Aramis Knight as Red Dagger, a vigilante.
At the helm of the series is Bisha K Ali as chief writer and executive producer. In the address she falls into the hands of Harmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Meera Menon and Adil El Arbi and Billall Fallah.
Ms. Marvel may be, along with Miles Morales, one of the best characters that have been introduced in the marvelita lore so far this century, with an excellent introductory series by Wilson and Adrian Alphona. Hopefully the series can live up to expectations.
For now, for want of getting more into the matter, the trailer has left a very good taste in the mouth with that comic roll with its vignettes and onomatopoeia.
Kamala Khan, an American Muslim teenager living in Jersey City. Kamala is a gamer total and also writes fan-fiction. She is also a mega fan of Superheroes and she has a huge imagination, especially when it comes to Captain Marvel. But she, Kamala, feels invisible both at home and at school…until she discovers that she has superpowers like those heroes she has always admired. Life is better with superpowers, there is no doubt about that.
