Many YouTubers on mobile made use of the popular YouTube Vanceda mobile application that allowed you to play videos without ads (and without paying for YouTube Premium) and that, for example, also had a pure dark AMOLED theme.
Now that app will have to go away. Its managers have announced on Twitter that the project has been suspended due to legal pressure from Google. The company has sent a cease and desist letter forcing YouTube Vanced to close its doors.
Competing with YouTube Premium is risky
Although there are several alternative clients to YouTube, Vanced was one of the most popular and probably the best. The creators told it both on Twitter and on Telegram, where they indicated that the closure was due to legal problems.
Vanced has been discontinued. In the coming days, the download links on the website will be taken down. We know this is not something you wanted to hear but it’s something we need to do. Thank you all for supporting us over the years.

Among his options was avoid ads while playingthe pure dark mode, the “I don’t like” counter that Google had eliminated, or the possibility that the sound could continue to be heard in the background while one did anything else with the mobile.
The creators of the application indicated a few hours ago that their project has stopped developing. “Download links on the website will disappear,” and while the app will likely continue to work for some time for those who already have it installed, hopefully soon stop doing it without the necessary updates that guaranteed its correct execution.
