Ministry of Defense of South Korea will send military assistance to Ukraine, except for weapons
South Korea, in addition to humanitarian aid, will send military materials to Ukraine, with the exception of the weapons system. About writes RIA Novosti with reference to the representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic Pu Seung Chan.
“At the moment, a decision has been made on what will be provided as assistance, now there is a substantive discussion of plans, including proposals for delivery. Our government has decided to provide Ukraine with military materials, but not weapons systems,” the South Korean defense ministry explained.
Humanitarian assistance will include helmets, dry rations, blankets, first aid kits, tents – there are 20 items in total. The cost of humanitarian aid is estimated at 804 thousand dollars.
Earlier it became known that South Korea managed to achieve an exception from the US anti-Russian sanctions, but at the same time the republic undertakes to impose its export restrictions against Moscow. South Korean Commerce Minister Ye Han Gu assured US partners that Seoul will implement “additional export control measures at a level consistent with the United States and the international community.”
