The first polling station opens at 6 a.m. and can be found at Harderwijk station. Most regular polling stations don’t open until 07:30. You can vote with a valid voting pass and a valid proof of identity. An ID is valid for voting if it has not expired for more than five years.

The polls close again at 9 p.m. After that, the ballot boxes containing the ballot papers remain closed. Polling station members determine how many eligible voters have voted by counting the number of valid voting passes and proxy certificates. The municipality transports the ballot boxes, voting passes and powers of attorney to a safe place. The key to each ballot box is transported separately and the items are always transported by at least two people. The votes cast early on Monday and Tuesday will be counted during the daytime on Wednesday.
