The coronavirus epidemic has not yet completely disappeared from our lives. Although the virus has lost its former power with the Omicron variant, coronavirus restrictions continue to be applied in some parts of the world. One such location is Shenzhen, China, which is apparently the largest manufacturing center for Apple’s leading supplier, Foxconn.

FOXCONN SUSPENDED

Foxconn was forced to suspend production after China made closures in the cities of Shenzhen and Shanghai to combat the rise in Kovid-19 cases.

It was shared that measures were taken, such as the closure of non-essential workplaces throughout the city, stopping public transportation and recommending residents not to leave their homes except for mandatory situations.

It has been learned that Foxconn has put into action its plans to use its facilities in other cities to support its production.

IT MAY AFFECT APPLE’S PRODUCTION

It is not known exactly which devices Foxconn manufactures for Apple at its two facilities in Shenzhen. However, Foxconn is recognized as the largest manufacturer of the iPhone. Therefore, it is estimated that the restriction decision will affect Apple’s production.

On the other hand, Shenzhen is also home to big technology companies such as Huawei, Oppo and TCL.
