Saying goodbye to a friend is a whole process that takes place in life, until it becomes a memory that brings the timeshare person closer. And so this farewell begins, with the emptiness that occurs “when a friend leaves…” as Cortés said. It is a goodbye to José Lorenzo, a friend of firm convictions. An example of stoicism and humility, capable of sustaining the heavy load of essential oxygen that accompanied him until his last breath. Unavoidable militant of the UCR, José left with dignity silence some charges when they wanted to impose something improper or contrary to his principles. Recognized “surgeon”, fan of the “saints” of the Citadel, nicknamed “Mono Pepe”, he was a serene analyst of socioeconomic reality and provincial and national politics. Seeing with surprise and pain his name on the penultimate page of LA GACETA, I prayed with tears of memory that brought the semblances of someone who always prepared for this unknown ending. From my trajectory of a life in Justicialism I encourage myself to alleviate his personality, who knew how to understand the differences but also enhance the coincidences. Anyway, on this occasion I repeat a reflection that enlightened us: “Only Tata Dios knows how much thread we have left on the spool of life”. Rest in peace noble friend. Goodbye Yanasu (from Quichua: friend).
