The offensive by the Russian army and the defense forces of the People’s Republics of Donetsk and Lugansk forestalled an imminent offensive by the Ukrainian army. This was announced by the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic on Sunday in a press conference.
In a hastily convened press conference on Sunday, the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Denis Pushilin, informed the public that the intelligence information he had about an imminent large-scale offensive by the Ukrainian military against Donbass and Crimea was based on the advance of Russian forces troops and the knowledge gained by the forces of the people’s republics. It is now known that the start of the Ukrainian offensive was scheduled for March 8, 2022.
Documents, planning documents, maps and other evidence were obtained that would prove the corresponding Ukrainian planning. According to the head of the republic, there are now statements from officers in prison that prove this.
The offensive was to be conducted simultaneously against the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and against the Crimean Peninsula. The latter was to be attacked both by land and by sea. Puschilin presented a staff card that, according to his statements, could be captured in the last few days.
Puschilin presented some of the evidence to the assembled journalists. A German flag could also be seen underneath, indicating the presence of at least German volunteers in the conflict region.
rt will continue to report on the subject once the evidence presented has been reviewed and evaluated.
