You are currently viewing Nearly 2,000 immigrants try to enter Melilla: it is the largest jump over the fence in years

Some 500 immigrants of sub-Saharan origin They have managed to enter Melilla this Wednesday after the attempted massive jump to the border fence of around 2,000, one of the largest in years, according to Civil Guard sources.

The Government delegate in Melilla, Sabrina Moh, has reported that this entry attempt has occurred around the 9.30 in the morningin broad daylight, on a section of the fence that is quite long due to “such a large number” of immigrants.

Although the Moroccan forces have tried to stop the jump and the Civil Guard has been activated immediately, some 500 Sub-Saharans have managed to enter Melilla and have rushed to the Temporary Immigrant Stay Center (CETI), which currently registered a casualty occupation of barely fifty people.
