In the Kharkiv region, the 302nd Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU), which had at its disposal Buk M-1 air defense systems, surrendered and voluntarily laid down its arms. On Sunday, February 27, the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov, told Lente.ru.

According to him, as a result, 471 Ukrainian servicemen were detained.

“All Ukrainian servicemen are treated with respect and assistance. After the paperwork is completed, they will be sent to their families,” Konashenkov stressed.

Earlier, on February 25, the Ministry of Defense reported that since the beginning of the Russian military operation in Donbass, about 150 servicemen of various Ukrainian law enforcement agencies have surrendered.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to conduct a special operation in the Donbass. Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky announced the introduction of martial law in Ukraine and the severance of diplomatic relations with the Russian side.
