the education company cogna already has a strong presence in higher education – through Kroton – and in basic education – through Vasta. Now, is reinforcing its presence in preparatory courses for higher educationespecially the Enem (National High School Exam, which serves as a college entrance exam for most public universities in the country).

Action on this front takes place through the Stoodi, preparatory service for the entrance exam that is inside the Kroton umbrella. Stoodi gained momentum in the pandemic, with schools and cram schools closed, and since 2020, it has been developing new lines of business to accelerate. “We have made an investment in Cogna to be the education solution in student life. We want to serve from the first steps to continuing education. Stoodi enters at the moment of the student’s decision making about which college he wants to attend”, says Felipe Donato, director of Stoodi.
One of the new fronts of action is the offer of services to private schools. Through the Stoodi platform, the school has access to more than 6,000 video lessons, more than 30,000 exercises, and writing simulations. The platform also provides tools for teachers and principals to track the performance of each student and class. Today, Stoodi has 55 client schools and the goal is to increase this number to 100 schools by the end of the year.
The student himself can also subscribe to the Stoodi service individually. In this modality, the online course costs from 24.90 per month, and can reach 89.90 per month in the case of the preparatory focused on medicine. The service also has a free modality, aimed mainly at students who had some lag in their studies due to the pandemic. So far Stoodi has served 8 million students.
The course modalities use artificial intelligence to create personalized study paths according to the needs of each student. “Our system understands what level the student is at, takes that student by the hand and helps him to arrive prepared for the Enem”, says Donato. To maintain student engagement, content is presented in classes of up to 10 minutes, ending with a general review. The system was designed to be used by cell phone and in places with low quality internet.
