According to American media, the owner of the property, where Madsen lived until February 17, carried out a citizen’s arrest, after which he contacted the police. A source tells Daily Mail that the house – worth 5.3 million dollars (4.7 million euros) – was wrongly rented to Madsen for a year. The owner had spent two years trying to get the landlords – who owe him thousands of euros – out of his house, but due to the corona crisis, the legal procedure was delayed for two years.

Death of son

Madsen’s arrest comes a month after the tragic death of his son, who committed suicide at the age of 26. The actor recently told the LA Times: “I still can’t believe it. I spoke to him a few days ago and he said he was ‘happy’.”

The 64-year-old star also shared the last message he received from Hudson. “He sent me: ‘I love you, Dad.’ It’s so tragic and sad. I’m mostly trying to understand what happened now, especially as I haven’t seen any signs of depression in him.”
