Cercle Brugge and KV Mechelen split 2-2 on matchday 29 of the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.
Dominik Thalhammer’s team fell 2-0 down in the middle of the first half after a double strike by the home side. Cuypers (31st) and Costa (37th) score for Mechelen.
However, Cercle Brugge hit back before the break and leveled the game with Miangue (43′) and Denkey (45′). In the second half, Cercles van der Bruggen was sent off with a red card (69′), but Costa was also ruled out a little later at Mechelen (76′). In the end it stays at 2:2.
Dominik Thalhammer’s team is currently in ninth place in Belgium’s top division (39 points). In the last five games, however, Cercle Brugge has managed only one complete success.
