The Dallas Stars remain tenacious in the fight for the playoffs in the NHL. With Michael Raffl from Carinthia in the third line of attack, the team from Texas celebrates a 1-0 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks after a penalty shootout.
It is the Stars’ sixth away win in a row. Jacob Peterson scored the decisive penalty in the goal, while goalie Jake Oettinger saved 34 shots on the way to the “shutout”. The Stars are currently in ninth place in the Western Conference.
The Minnesota Wild, on the other hand, have to take their second hearty defeat in a short time. Two days after beating the Winnipeg Jets 6-3, the Wild lost 6-2 to the Florida Panthers, their third loss in five games.
In the game of the best Eastern team against the second best in the Western Conference, Kaprizov (8./PP.) initially puts the home team in the lead, but then the Panthers turn up the heat. Marchment with a double strike in the first third (11th, 13th) turns the game, Duclair (29th) and Ekblad (42nd / PP) extend the lead for the guests.
