Only six clubs booked a positive result. Remarkably enough, Sporting Charleroi trumps national champions Club Brugge as the club with the most profit. Zulte Waregem, Mouscron, Kortrijk and KV Mechelen also delivered positive results.

In all other clubs the numbers are red. Anderlecht (more than 29 million euros loss) in particular had another financially dramatic year, but Standard (more than 17 million euros loss) and Antwerp (11 million euros loss) also presented poor results.

Among the small groups, the losses of OH Leuven (over 16 million loss) and Eupen (over 13 million loss) are particularly striking.

For comparison: last year the total loss was “barely” 53.6 million euros.

The License Commission ruled that no club committed an infringement of non-compliance with the acceptable loss. Although that is mainly thanks to the more flexible rules due to corona.
