Dominik Thalhammer gets his next win in the 23rd round of Belgium’s Pro League!
With Cercle Brugge, the 51-year-old from Vienna managed a 3-1 win against Zulte Waregem – the sixth win in seven games. As a loser from the field, Thalhammer only went against leaders Royale Union Saint Gilloise (2: 3) in mid-December.
Dino Hotic (6th/penalty) and Boris Popovic (41st) pave the way to their ninth win of the season in the first half. Jelle Vossen (90′ + 1′) provided the guests with excitement late on, Ahoueke Denkey (90′ + 4′) marked the final score shortly afterwards.
In the table Cercle strengthens the tenth place in the table. With 31 points, eighth place, eligible for the European Cup playoff and occupied by KV Kortrijk, is two points away. Thalhammer and Co. have already escaped the relegation zone to twelve points.
