Former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Yevgeny Muraev, “declared a pro-Russian leader in Kiev” by the British Foreign Office, announced a “set-up” by the department. He said this in an interview with Channel 4.

The ex-deputy of the Rada said that the British Foreign Office framed a person “out of touch” and handed over papers to the department about his ties with Russia. The politician plans to wait for a refutation or prove his right in court. He seeks to show what guides “the British Foreign Office, replicating such fakes.”

Earlier, Muraev advised the UK to suspect another candidate of having links with Russia. He called himself “a patriot of his country” and accused London of stupidity and absurdity of judgments.

On January 23, the British Foreign Office announced that the Russian authorities were planning to imprison a “loyal, pro-Russian leader” in Kiev. The Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that this disinformation confirms that the NATO countries, led by the Anglo-Saxons, are seeking an escalation of tension around Ukraine.
