For the time being, Monaco is not really doing well under the reign of Philippe Clement. Against Montpellier, the Monegasques were 2-0 behind, but in extra time Clement saw his men lose another point.

0-0 against Nantes, 4-0 win against Clermont Foot and now a 3-2 defeat against Montpellier. With 4 out of 9, Philippe Clement is temporarily out of action at Monaco.

The Monaco defense was not rock solid against Montpellier. The verdict was 2-0 after half an hour. Ben Yedder gave Clement and co hope again with a header goal.

While chasing the 2-2, Belgian U23 international Matazo fired a long shot, the home goalkeeper made a great save.

Clement urged his men to get something out of the fire after all. That seemed to pay off, because 10 minutes before the end the 2-2 fell.

Monaco seemed on its way to a point, but Mavidi turned out to be the bogeyman of the principality in extra time. Monaco sees Montpellier flip over and is now 7th (33 out of 66).
